What We Do

Primary School Maths - JumpStart Foundation

Primary School Maths

Doubling mathematics learning gains each

South Africa has made real progress in building schools and providing access to education, but most classroom environments are not easy with large class sizes, varying learner competence, negative mathematics stigma, and resource constraints. This is reflected in the country’s consistent underperformance in international mathematics and science studies. Urgent attention is needed for the country to prosper.

The current support given to education and youth by the government, and corporate funders, provides a solid foundation for the education system. Harnessing this could significantly improve mathematics outcomes. Hover the information blocks below to learn more about the models we are using to do this.

JumpStart currently supports 22,000 learners on our programmes.
